Day of Events – September 19th , 2009

The SEPTEMBERFEST event will kick off the day at 9 a.m. with a 5K Race and 1 Mile Walk that benefits the Spring Grove Area Fitness Center.  Registrations will be taken up until the day of the race.  The festival itself will begin at 11 a.m. and run through DUSK.  Some of the noteworthy vendors that plan to be there are the Windy Hill Senior Center selling their apple dumplings & Friendship Fire Company with French fries & strawberries and of course the  ice cream.  There will be vendors of all kinds including, crafts, jewelry, paintings, artwork, pins, necklaces, ceramics, kitchen tools, and a whole lot more.  Some of the food vendors at the event will be selling items such as ribbon fries, funnel cakes, fried Oreos, pit beef, pit ham, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, Italian ice, nachos, cotton candy, and much more. And don't forget the games. There will be tons of games for kids of all ages!!! There will  games such as the ring toss, fish pond, and face painting for the children.  There will also be inflatable set up including the Castle Moon Bounce and Titanic Slide.  Southwestern Regional Police will be on hand setting up Child Id Kits for parents that are interested.  Everyone will be able to take a shot at dropping someone in the Dunk Tank which will be there operated by the Spring Grove Area Community Center Health & Fitness Facility staff. Live entertainment will be going on through out the day and a spectacular fireworks display will be ending this fantastic evening!! Don't miss the fun!!!! Fireworks will begin around 8pm depending on darkness.
